Staff

Each classroom has a Lead Teacher who is state certified in Early Childhood Education, and 2 qualified Assistant Teachers. The staff of Columbus Pre-School is a diverse group of enthusiastic, experienced and caring early childhood educators.

Marcia Levy is the director of the Columbus Pre-School. She has a B.A. in early childhood education from Queens College and a M.A. in child development from Sarah Lawrence College. Marcia is a certified teacher and has more than 30 years experience in early childhood education. Before coming to Columbus Pre-School, she worked at the Sarah Lawrence College Early Childhood Center as a lead teacher for 17 years and as the summer program director for 16 years. Working together with parents and teachers to create the most enriching experience for young children is Marcia’s priority.
